Sunday and FAQs.

Where are we in Stirling?

Stirling is described as a leafy green village nestled in the picturesque Adelaide Hills. The Church is close to the SE Freeway Stirling Exit, around 15 minutes from Adelaide city and Mt Barker centre.

Our address is 2 Avenue Road Stirling 5152.

The Church entrance can be located by a driveway opposite Steam Roller Park. There is a car park at street level and more parking up the hill at Church level. Priority for Church level parking is given to disabled parking, visitors, young families and the elderly.

What usually happens at a Sunday service?

As you enter the facility, you will be greeted and shown where the auditorium is located. You are welcome to sit anywhere you like. We usually begin with worship and singing, followed by remembering Jesus around the Communion table. After some prayer and brief announcements, Primary School children and High School young people are invited to gather together for their own age related activities. The Word is shared to encourage us to follow Jesus and love one another. After the service, please give some time to connect over morning tea after the service. If a little more space helps for toddlers and babies, please move into our ‘Creche Space’ with toddlers, or our reserved space for mums and bubs.

We look forward to seeing you.

What time is does the Sunday service start?

Our Sunday morning service starts at 10.00a finishing between 11.15-11.30a. The reason we gather together is to worship Jesus, and encourage one another as we live as a community of faith.

What is expected of me at a Sunday service?

There are no expectations! We are thrilled you have you have chosen to gather to worship Jesus. You are under no obligations as we move through our service. Please feel free to sit, stand, sing and reflect during the service.

As part of our Worship, we share Communion. When Communion is served, feel free to let is pass. We invite people to read what the Bible says about sharing communion in 1 Corinthians. During the notices, we have a time of prayer and share about things happening in our Church.

We also give time time for giving which is for those who call Stirling home. There is never any pressure to give! There is no tally of giving. All our giving is ‘unto the Lord alone’.  Therefore giving is done freely and cheerfully and without compulsion!

After the service, you are invited to a cup of barista coffee, tea of your choice and other refreshments as we chat and share with one another. Groups often head out for lunch together, either in homes, in the park or across the many cafe’s in the Hills.

Tell me more about your children activities?

Parents are invited to register some details with our Children’s Teams and are welcome to sit in and see what happens with our children on a Sunday.

Our church activities directed at children are subject to ChildSafe Safety processes. We work with parents and children collaboratively to express our deepest concern for the safety of children and young people in our care.

Our volunteers and staff appointed to work with children and young people are screened and cleared with Working with Children Checks. Everyone working with children receives required training and support in the protection of Children from harm, and in safety (risk) management. Our aim is to honour, encourage and build children up in knowing Jesus and what the Bible says about them!

We manage and review our records to keep track of our people and programs, holding each other accountable for safe practices. Our processes support our commitment to children and young people that participate in our programs.
